Opening your classroom…
Clean slate
Learners will be disconnected. The active room, launched questions, responses, and points will be removed from the live database. Your saved question bank stays in this browser.
Keep it lightweight
This is a public test. Anyone with the site link can open it; anyone with a room code can join that room. Use only generic, non-sensitive demonstration material. Do not enter names, personal details, government nonpublic information, or real student records.
No participant accounts, names, emails, permanent grades, trackers, or external QR services are requested. The server assigns anonymous aliases and keeps token hashes, launched question content, answers, and optional points in shared hosted storage so devices stay synchronized.
Room retention: End & delete removes the room from the live database immediately. A room becomes inaccessible two hours after creation; expired data is purged when the service next receives a request. Hosting logs and backups may have separate provider retention; this is not a promise of forensic erasure.
Your question bank: saved questions remain in this browser’s local storage across reloads and new sessions until you remove them or clear site data. They do not sync to another browser. Only questions you launch are sent to shared session storage. Drafts and secret room credentials stay in tab session storage for refresh recovery.
Presenter controls require a separate random secret that is never included in the join link or QR. Closing the presenter tab or clearing its session storage may lose control; the room still expires automatically. A person can join more than once with another browser identity, and a small room’s answers can sometimes be inferred.
This test is limited to 50 participants and 50 questions per room. Actual capacity, phone compatibility, accessibility, and Coast Guard browser/network access have not been certified. Follow your organization’s policies; do not bypass network controls.
